Meet the Board

Tauri is Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) and she has extensive experience in eData and Information Law. She currently is Hometown Health’s subject matter expert for paper records and is responsible for managing Hometown Health’s records schedule current. She has coached and developed records personnel within the various departments and has managed the organization’s records disposition process to defensibly dispose of paper records no longer needed.

Sara has been with the State since 1997 and started her records career at the Gaming Control Board.  All but three and half of those twenty years have been in records related positions.  She worked three years as Senior Records Analyst at the Library, Archives and Public Records and for the past year has become the State Records Manager.

Shawnyne Garren ~ Secretary ~ sgarren@douglasnv.us

Shawnyne began her career with the Douglas County Recorder’s Office in July 2007, and prior to that had a 7-year career in real estate. Today, as the Administrative Services Manager, she manages the daily operations of the Recorder’s Office where permanent land and marriage documents are recorded and made available for public inspection. She is also responsible for overseeing the storage, inventory, and secure disposition of digital and paper records for more than 20 individual departments at the County’s Records Management center. In addition to ARMA, she is a current member of the Property Records Industry Association (PRIA), Property Records Education Partners (PREP), Recorders Association of Nevada (RAN), County Fiscal Officers Association (CFOA), and International Association of Government Officials (iGO)

In her words, “I have over 40 years’ experience in customer service, banking, finance, private sector and governmental accounting, legal services and, most recently, information governance. The wealth of knowledge and educational events that are available through my ARMA International membership, and more specifically networking with the Sierra Nevada ARMA Chapter, helped me excel in my current career path. It is an honor to serve as Treasurer for Sierra Nevada ARMA.”
